Privacy & Cookie Notice
Directions Sober Living House keeps things simple. We don't run advertising trackers, we don't sell information, and we collect as little as possible. This notice explains what that means in plain language.
Who we are
This website is operated by Directions Sober Living LLC ("Directions," "we," "us"), a men's sober living home located at 1606 Addington St, Irving, TX 75062. If you have any question about privacy, contact Will Haggard at [email protected] or 972‑877‑8523.
Information we collect
This site does not have sign-up forms or accounts. In normal use, the information involved is limited to:
- What you choose to send us. If you email or call using the links on this site, we receive whatever you share (your name, phone, email, and message) so we can respond to your inquiry.
- Basic technical logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server information such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
Cookies & local storage
The short version: we use only essential/functional storage. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set by this site.
You can review and change what this site stores at any time — . The panel has four categories:
- Strictly necessary — always on and cannot be disabled. This covers remembering your cookie choice and loading the page's fonts. Without it the site cannot function.
- Preferences — remembers choices you make so the site behaves consistently on a later visit. Off unless you turn it on.
- Analytics — anonymous measurement of which pages are read. Not currently in use. Your setting is recorded now and would be honoured automatically if we ever added it.
- Marketing — advertising and cross-site tracking. Not currently in use, and we have no plans to add it.
Specifically, what is stored today:
- Consent preference. Your choices are saved in your browser's local storage under
dslh_consent_v2, so we don't ask again on every visit. It records which categories you allowed and when. It never leaves your device. - Fonts. We load typefaces from Google Fonts to display the site. Your browser contacts Google's servers to fetch them; Google may receive your IP address as part of that request. See Google's privacy policy.
You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. Because our storage is functional only, blocking it will not break the site — you may simply see the cookie notice again.
How we use information
We use the limited information above only to respond to your inquiries, to operate and secure the website, and to comply with the law. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Third parties
The site relies on a small number of service providers who process data only to help us run it:
- Hosting — our web host serves the site and keeps standard server logs.
- Google Fonts — delivers the fonts used on the page, as described above.
- Email & phone — messages you send go to the mailbox and phone we publish here.
Your choices & rights
You may contact us to ask what information we hold about you from your correspondence, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. Reach us at [email protected].
Children
Directions Sober Living House serves adult men. This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Confidentiality note
We understand recovery is personal. Any information you share with us when inquiring about the house is treated with discretion and used only to help you or your loved one.
Changes
We may update this notice as the site evolves. The effective date above reflects the most recent version.
